Requirements for Clearance for Graduation

Location / Venue: 

University of Nairobi

The following are the requirements for clearance for Postgraduate Theses / Dissertation / Projects:

 

  • Valid student ID card
  • Four (4) Hard bound copies of final Thesis / Dissertation / Project (Black and Branded)
    • The theses/projects/Dissertation must signed by all supervisors
    • Must be bound at Jomo Kenyatta Memorial Library (JKML)
  • Antiplagiarism report of ≤15% duly signed by supervisor
  • Declaration of originality forms duly filled
  • Soft copy of the final Thesis/Project/Dissertation (PDF format) in a CD as a single file
  • UoN digital repository form dully filled by the graduand
  • The library clearance form and receipts.

At the graduate school, upon submission of the above items, you are required to fill:

  • Three (3) copies of white clearance forms for Dissertation / Project
  • Three (3) copies of pink clearance forms for Thesis (Masters and PhD)

Staff from University of Rwanda paid a courtesy call to the Director, Graduate School, Prof. Lydia Njenga in respect of the Faculty of Arts represented by the Dean, Prof. Ephraim Wahome. Dr. Peter J. Mugune, Postgraduate Coordinator, led the team of supervisors from Rwanda.

The discussion involved a 2014 MOU between the University of Nairobi and University of Rwanda with key highlights on supervision of PhD students.
