Board of Postgraduate Studies Hosts SYLFF Officals

The Board of Postgraduate Studies (BPS) recently received two officials, Mr. Takashi Suzuki, Programme Director and Ms Mari Suzuki, Programme Officer, from the Tokyo Foundation, the organisation responsible for the overall management of The Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff). Sylff was launched by The Nippon Foundation in 1987 with the purpose of cultivating and nurturing leaders who can transcend various boundaries and engage proactively in addressing the challenges of our age at all levels in our community and in the world.The Fund awards fellowships to postgraduate students who are enrolled in degree programmes with high potential for leadership at the local, national, regional and international levels in their private and public lives.The amount awarded is used for tuition and stipend.The University of Nairobi was endowed by Sylff  in 1989.
